About Us

NICE - Centre for Movement Disorders is a charity based in Birmingham using the expertise of Conductive Education, which is an education approach to disability. The transformative movement therapy enables local people with movement disorders to develop essential physical skills for life. The charity has a can-do, positively driven approach and puts the focus on individuals' abilities; this counters the wider attitudes of society in which people with disabilities are often assessed for what they 'cannot do'.
